2,200 corrupt govt officials identified in 2015: CBI
Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the first investigative police organization in India, has asserted to have recognized 2,200 corrupted officials from the Indian government a year ago. CBI also said that inquiries have been started against every one of them.

According to the office reports, there was a 94% jump in identifying corrupted officials in the nation from 2014.

Anti-Grafted agency registered 101 FIRs against these persons. “People anticipate that the CBI will act against corruption and we are doing only that. Our emphasis is on conducting the reasonable investigation and completing pending investigations,” said CBI chief Anil Sinha. This is almost double of the numbers of FIRs registered against officials requesting pay off to concede favors in 2014.

Sinha reported that CBI has figured out how to file 1,044 charge sheets in 2015, its highest number in the last five years. The agency had registered cases against 67 officials for amassing incommensurate assets which were an increase of 56% compared to 2014
