AP Police Constable Communications Cut off Marks, Provisional Selection List @ appolice.gov.in. Recruitment to the post of SCT Police Constables (Communications)-494 Posts for Men & Women in the Police Department was notified vide Notification Rc.No.246/R&T/Rect.1/2016, dt: 27-08-2016. The Final Written Examination was held on 29-01-2017 in 3 locations i.e., Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and Kurnool.

NOTE – PC (COMMUNICATIONS)

The Notification No.246/R&T/Rect.2/2016,dt:27-8-2016 was issued for filling up of 494 posts for direct recruitment of SCT Police Constables (Communications) for Men & Women in the Police Department. Final Written Examination was held on 29-01-2017 and Merit List declared on 16-02-2017.

Hence, Direct Recruitment (DR) Vacancies = 494-10 = 484

Starting Roster Point 55 (of first cycle). Hence, with 484 posts to be filled up, end roster point 38(of sixth cycle).

As per notification, these DR vacancies have reservation of 33 1/3% for women, 3% for CPP, 2% for Home Guard and 1% for NCC. All these reservation are Horizontal basis in compartmentalised form. Hence, the vacancy calculation for these special categories is as under:-

While calculating decimals, only two decimal digits are taken into consideration without rounding off. Any decimal ≤ 0.49 is converted to 0 and any decimal ≥ 0.50 is converted to 1.

While filling reservation for special categories, the SLPRB follows an order of priority to decide any candidate who belongs to more than one special category will be considered under which category. This policy is decided in advance to ensure uniformity. For the post of PC (Communications), this order of priority for Special Categories is as under:-

a) Women (33 1/3%)
b) CPP (3%)
c) Home guard (2%)
d) NCC (1%)

As stated in Notification, for candidates claiming benefit under NCC, first preference is given to candidates having NCC-C certificate. Only, if such candidates are not available or available candidates are already allotted, then second preference is given to candidates with NCC-B Certificates. Finally, candidates with NCC-A certificates are given third preference. This Order of preference for NCC candidates is followed irrespective of their position in Merit list. Eg.: a candidate with NCC-C Certificate with lower marks is preferred over a candidate with NCC-B or NCC-A certificate with higher marks.

As per rules, those ABOST candidates from scheduled areas of 5 districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Vishakapatnam, East Godavari and West Godavari who qualified PMT on the basis of relaxed Height, chest and weight criteria are considered only when sufficient candidates of ST/ABOST with standard height, chest and weight are not available, irrespective of the merit of such candidates.

Now, from the Merit list, the above mentioned vacancies are filled in following order:-

• I. OC vacancies are filled first – 243
• II. Backlog vacancies are filled – first OC, then social categories – 10
• III Finally, all social category vacancies are filled.

From the Merit list, following belonging to Creamy Layer could not get Selected even though they have obtained marks higher than the cut off marks. (Non-Creamy Layer Certificate was not submitted by them).

42,925 Hall tickets were issued. 39,666 candidates attended for Final Written Examination. Finally,17,524 candidates have qualified for the post of PC (Communications).

• 859 of OC Candidates ; 11,100 of BC Candidates
• 4406 of SC Candidates ; 1159 of ST candidates

The results (Marks) of the Final Written Examination for the said Post is available on the website “recruitment.appolice.gov.in or www.appolice.gov.in from 09.02.2017 onwards. The Merit list for the above post will be uploaded in the website within 10 days.

Candidates may download the Scanned OMR Sheet for Final Written Examination which will be available in the website “recruitment.appolice.gov.in” from 10-02-2017 onwards. Any candidate who wants to be verified of OMR Sheet may apply online after payment of Rs. 1,000/- (One thousand) only at any APONLINE Centre (Not Messeseva Centre) and submitting for “verification” on website “recruitment.appolice.gov.in”. This facility will be available from 11.02.2017 to 13.02.2017 till 05.00 PM and the candidate will be informed the result of “verification” through SMS and e-mail. In case, there is any improvement in marks, the fee submitted by the candidate will be refunded by SLPRB, Andhra Pradesh.

The exact procedure for submitting application for verification is mentioned below:

The candidates who wish to submit representation about “verification” of the OMR answer sheet shall pay an amount of Rs. 1000/- (Rupees One Thousand only) through APONLINE Centre (not MEESEVA Centres) and shall submit the representation in the website www.recruitment.appolice.gov.in from 11.02.2017 to 13.02.2017 upto 5.00 PM, in the following format:

Each valid representation received with fee for each paper will only be examined and the decision of the committee in the matter shall be final. No further communication or Anonymous/Incomplete representations will be entertained after the last date.

After the process of verification is completed final result and the Merit list will be released on the Website of SLPRB, AP within a fortnight.
